# Catena Clearing

> Catena is the universal API for fleet telematics data. A single integration that gives insurers, factors, TMS providers, brokers, fuel cards, and load boards access to vehicle data across every major ELD and telematics provider, no more building and maintaining dozens of one-off connections.

Key notes:

- Catena is an API infrastructure layer - not an ELD or telematics provider itself
- One integration replaces the need to build and maintain connections to dozens of individual TSPs (e.g. Samsara, Geotab, Motive)
- "ELD provider" and "TSP" (Telematics Service Provider) are used interchangeably - TSPs are the companies that manage ELD data
- Primary customers are freight tech platforms: insurers, TMS providers, brokers, factors, fintechs, and load boards - not carriers directly
- Fleet onboarding is done via a magic-link invitation flow; fleets authorize Catena to access their TSP data
